I have used various heavy weight fabrics for this bag including denim, brocade and canvas in blues.  It is fully lined in a navy polka dot cotton. It has an outer zipped pocket on the front and another pocket inside.
 
It zips up across the top and is a most practical everyday shoulder bag.
 
Each hand made bag takes me around 3 hours to construct, I add interfacing, reinforce the strap stitching and add pockets, so it’s durable, strong and functional.
